A. Strengthening of database and IT for fisheries sector scheme:

       (100% central assistance) This is central sector scheme for the development of inland fishery statistics in the state to evolve a suitable methodology for collection of data and estimation of fish production of the state. The entire 100% contribution of central govt.

B Fisheries Development under National Agriculture programme/Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojna : (RKVY)

       100% Central resistance this is central sector scheme for the fisheries development activities in Chhattisgarh is taken up for increasing fish seed production, fish production productivity tanks and reservoirs, additional construction of water bodies development of reservoirs and assistance to fishermen and fishermen co-operative society and promotion of employment etc. The following schemes are sanctioned by government (05.05.2008) under RKVY programme :

Fisheries Development under National Fisheries Development Board (NFDB) Programme:

       The NFDB will assist the following six components to support intensive aquaculture in ponds and tanks:

• Intensive aquaculture in existing ponds and tanks
• Intensive aquaculture in new ponds and tanks
• First-year one time inputs for intensive aquaculture in ponds and tanks.
• Establishment of hatcheries for production of fish seed.
• Establishment of fish seed rearing units for production of fish fingerlings.
• Training and demonstration.
